The story
Wrongfully imprisoned for murdering his own son, a father sets out on a desperate rescue mission after learning the boy may still be alive.
What it’s like
Tense, grim and propulsive, this miniseries leans on the thriller's pull rather than any particular visual signature, so expect urgency over lingering atmosphere. Its world moves between a prison's confinement and the open road of a search, a split that suits a binge across several evenings more than a single sitting. The emotional core is a wrongfully convicted father's desperation, a man who has lost his child and now refuses to accept the story that put him behind bars. Murder and prison are central to the premise, so the intensity is serious and dark, with fear and dread running through the story. It fits viewers who enjoy Harlan Coben-style mysteries, twisty crime plots, and stories of injustice and determination, and it is not a choice for anyone wanting something gentle or light.
