The story

When Ankur is wrongfully imprisoned and sentenced to death in a foreign country, his steely sister Satya is driven by a lethal resolve to break him free.

What it’s like

Dim, grimy interiors and hard night streets set the look, with prison corridors and cramped rooms lit in cold, sickly tones and action sequences shot with a restless, close handheld energy. The palette runs to muted greys, browns and sodium-yellow, and the sound leans on heavy, percussive beats and tense silences that let the dread settle. Its mood is bleak and grim, a stubborn determination pushing through hopelessness, and the pacing alternates long stretches of waiting and claustrophobia with sudden bursts of fast, physical confrontation. A woman's cold, single-minded resolve drives the story, and the emotional register stays heavy, with grief and fear never fully lifting. Violence is frequent and sometimes brutal, with hand-to-hand fights and threats of execution, though gore is present rather than lingered on. Sexual content is minimal. This suits a late-night watch for viewers who want a tense, bleak thriller with strong action and a steely lead, and it is not a fit for anyone looking for something gentle or upbeat.
