The story

Elisabeth and John John are raised in the same city, yet they live light years apart, separated economically, socially and culturally. That is until the day they start in the same high school class.

What it’s like

Grounded, socially observant Swedish coming-of-age romance, where the emotional texture comes from class and cultural distance rather than spectacle. Two teenagers raised in the same city, living in very different economic and cultural worlds, find themselves in the same high school class, and the story follows the hesitant pull between them as both families and social circles press in from either side. Expect a warm, unhurried pace and a tone that moves between tender and wry, with the bittersweet ache of first love set against prejudice and expectation. The drama stays close to everyday life rather than melodrama. Intensity is low: social friction and emotional tension, with no gore and little to no graphic violence. It suits a rainy weekend or a quiet evening in, and it is for viewers who enjoy young-love stories that take seriously the walls between people.
