The story

A bouncer with an anger management problem goes on a furious and resentful rampage after the murder of a friend.

What it’s like

Loud, saturated and kinetic, with bright neon bars, sweaty nightclub haze and grimy urban night stitched together in fast, jittery cuts and handheld swings. The palette leans on hot reds, sickly greens and chrome-cold interiors, and the sound is a thudding electronic pulse layered with bursts of impact and sirens. The vibe is caffeinated dark comedy with a sharp, mean streak, the kind of late-night watch for a Friday when you want something rowdy rather than restful. Pacing is relentless, with short bursts of quieter character beats between punchy escalations, and the emotional register swings between gallows humour and raw rage. Its heroine is a volatile, self-destructive woman slowly pulled into the consequences of her own temper. Violence is frequent and often graphic, with brutal fight choreography, gore and bloody injuries, plus crude language, criminal menace and some sexual innuendo. It suits viewers who enjoy genre mash-ups of action, crime and absurdist comedy and are fine with a lot of blood and bluntness, and it is a poor fit for anyone seeking something gentle.
