The story

Four years after Isla Nublar was destroyed, dinosaurs now live—and hunt—alongside humans all over the world. This fragile balance will reshape the future and determine, once and for all, whether human beings are to remain the apex predators on a planet they now share with history's most fearsome creatures.

What it’s like

Big, bright, and busy: sunlit Malta cliffs, sprawling desert canyons, and dim, cavernous laboratories give the film a mix of golden-hour blockbuster gloss and cool, fluorescent-lit corporate sheen, with digital sharpness and sweeping aerial shots of dinosaurs crossing open land. Dinosaurs stalk through fog, forests, and crowded city streets, and the score swells with orchestral brass whenever the creatures emerge. The mood is restless, urgent, and cautionary, a steady drumbeat of chase sequences and tense escapes, with the paleontology and scientific debates adding a thoughtful undercurrent. Pacing rarely lets up, and the story centres on a group of humans and an ex-raptor trainer learning to trust one another against a shifting threat. Violence is frequent and action-driven, with dinosaur attacks, bloody injuries, and peril involving children, though the gore stays mostly restrained. It suits a loud, popcorn-filled evening for fans of monster adventure who enjoy spectacle over quiet, and it is not a fit for anyone seeking something gentle or low-stakes.
