The story

With graduation right around the corner, every member of the Light Music Club except for Azusa will be leaving for good. But the girls aren’t going to let something as silly as graduation tear them apart! For their final hurrah, the girls are going on the ultimate vacation tour— all the way to London! Their overseas journey will lead them on a trip of discovery and friendship as they take the stage one last time for their final encore together.

What it’s like

Bright, airy and warmly colourful, with the pastel palette of a Kyoto high school giving way to sunlit European streets: cobbled lanes, old stone churches, rainy grey London skies and the glow of a crowded concert hall. Yamada's camera lingers on small domestic details, a teacup, a shared train seat, a suitcase being packed, and the animation is fluid and buoyant, with frequent cutaways to doodled chibi gags. Sound is the centre of it all: bright guitar and drum pop, catchy singalong choruses, and quieter piano moments in hotel rooms and at the window. The vibe is sweet, nostalgic and gently wistful, a sun-warmed send-off that suits a rainy Sunday, a comfort rewatch, or a long-haul flight. Pacing is loose and episodic, with comedy beats in quick succession and emotion arriving in soft, understated pauses. The arc is about friends who must part ways and find courage in how much they mean to one another. Intensity is very low: no violence, no gore, no sexual content, only mild peril and the ordinary sadness of goodbyes. Made for fans of slice-of-life, music, and gentle, low-stakes friendship stories.
