The story
During a mysterious thunderstorm, Vera, a young mother, manages to save a life in danger, but her good deed causes a disturbing chain of unexpected consequences.
What it’s like
Rain-streaked windows, flickering lamplight, and the flat blue-grey wash of a storm that won't break define this Spanish thriller's look, with many scenes staged in ordinary suburban rooms that feel slightly too quiet. The camera stays close and patient, lingering on faces as the mood tightens, and the score leans on low, pulsing tension rather than big swells. Its vibe is unsettled and intimate, a rainy-night puzzle that feels both domestic and strange. It suits a stormy evening, a late-night watch alone, or a second viewing when you want to notice what you missed. The pacing builds steadily, with a mother-and-daughter bond and a marriage under strain providing the emotional core. Peril and suspense are present throughout, with the threat coming more from unease and mounting doubt than from graphic violence; there is little gore and the tension lands through dread. It is best for viewers who enjoy clever, carefully plotted mysteries with an emotional undercurrent and a steady, uneasy atmosphere.
