The story
Twenty-somethings Clark Kent, the bright and driven Lois Lane, and their best friend Jimmy Olsen begin to discover who they are and everything they can accomplish together as an investigative reporting team at the Daily Planet.
What it’s like
Bright, hand-drawn-looking animation with saturated primary colors, clean linework and anime-inflected expressive faces, set mostly in a sunlit Metropolis of glass towers, busy newsroom bullpens and warm late-afternoon streets. Its vibe is hopeful, sunny and playful, with a light, quick rhythm: short scenes, snappy banter and a lot of movement, but room for quieter moments of friends sitting together over coffee or at a desk late at night. The score leans on upbeat orchestral and synth-pop cues, and the sound design stays busy but friendly. Emotionally it follows three young people figuring out who they are and what they can do together, with the tone staying warm and earnest rather than grim. Violence is mild and cartoonish: some superpowered scuffles and alien-tech action, with no gore and little real menace. It suits a Saturday-morning mood, a comfort rewatch, or something to keep a child or a tired adult smiling, and it is for viewers who want optimism, friendship and a bit of cheerful adventure.
