The story

Taking inspiration from the comic books of the same name, each episode of this animated anthology series questions, revisits and twists classic Marvel Cinematic moments.

What it’s like

Bright, glossy digital animation with the saturated, comic-panel colour of Marvel's house style: bold primary costumes, sharp inked outlines, and a crisp, polished sheen on every frame. Each episode reframes a familiar moment with a shifted palette or a new costume design, so the look keeps changing while the storytelling stays brisk and dependable. The score is big and cinematic, with orchestral swells and punchy percussion that lift the set pieces, and the quieter scenes lean on soft, warm lighting in cosy rooms and sparse streets. The pacing is energetic and episodic, with self-contained stories that wrap in roughly half an hour, and the tone sits somewhere between playful and earnest, with plenty of wry humour and a steady undercurrent of cosmic stakes. Its people are familiar heroes pushed into unfamiliar choices, so the emotional thread is about regret, sacrifice and the cost of being the one who holds things together. The violence is frequent but stylised, with cartoon-level fights, some sharp impacts and occasional deaths handled without gore or graphic detail. It suits a relaxed weekend binge, a fan's comfort rewatch, or anyone who enjoys clever what-if twists on a franchise they already know.
