The story
You'll take the role of a fledgling Builder to Sandrock. It’s up to you and your trusty toolset to gather resources, construct machines, and fix up your workshop into a well-oiled production machine, and save the town from the jaws of economic ruin, as well as a few other unexpected complications.
What it’s like
Warm, sun-bleached desert light spills over the red mesas and dusty plateaus of Sandrock, a town built from weathered wood, rust and patched canvas, with a soft, lightly stylised look that favours bright colour over grit. The soundtrack is a gentle, folksy mix of acoustic strums and easygoing wind, and the sounds of hammering, sawing and machinery ticking over give the workshop a satisfying, tactile rhythm. Its vibe is cozy and unhurried, the kind of low-pressure, slightly hopeful calm that suits a lazy weekend afternoon, a comfort session after a long day, or something to keep running in the background. Pacing is relaxed and loop-driven: you gather materials, build, expand and repeat, with a steady drip of new people and small problems to solve. Emotional tone is warm and light, with a gentle arc of a newcomer slowly becoming part of a community. Intensity is low: there is no gore, and the few tensions are mild and cartoonish rather than frightening. It suits players who enjoy crafting and automation, co-operative play with friends, and anyone who wants a calm, friendly sandbox with a sense of progress.
