The story
Explore an emotional sci-fi game with a unique blend of survival, adventure, and base-building elements. Help Jan Dolski, the sole survivor of an ill-fated space expedition, create alternative versions of himself to escape a hostile planet and tackle personal turmoils with this unconventional crew.
What it’s like
Warm amber light against bare rock and a pale, sun-bleached sky sets the look of this game, with its alien landscapes rendered in soft, painterly textures and its interiors of makeshift base hatches lit by flickering monitor glow. The sound design leans on low ambient hum, distant wind over dunes, and a restrained, melancholy score that swells at quiet turning points and otherwise stays out of the way. Its vibe is wistful and inward: lonely but tender, a survival story where the hard work of building shelter and gathering resources alternates with long, unhurried conversations. Pacing is methodical, with time spent crafting, exploring, and simply sitting with the dialogue, and the emotional arc follows one man slowly confronting his grief and guilt by facing versions of himself he has never been able to accept. Intensity is low: there is peril from a hostile environment and some tense moments, but no gore and little overt violence, with dread carried by isolation rather than shock. It suits a slow evening at home or a thoughtful solo session, and it is best for players who want story-rich science fiction, base-building, and character-driven reflection without graphic content.
