The story

While living as an ordinary deliveryman and motor racing fan, Nezha encounters old nemeses and must rediscover his powers to protect his loved ones.

What it’s like

Bright, saturated 3D animation that moves between sun-washed city streets and flaring celestial skies, with glossy character design and fast, swirling camera moves during fights. Everyday locations like delivery routes, noodle stalls, and roaring racetracks sit beside cloud-borne palaces and sea-dragon vistas, so the palette swings from warm daylight to dramatic gold and storm-grey. The score pairs traditional Chinese instruments with driving electronic percussion, rising into big orchestral swells in the battle sequences. The vibe is playful and rowdy, with a comic streak and a steady current of heartfelt warmth around family and loyalty. Pacing is brisk and kinetic, with long bursts of spectacle punctuated by quieter character beats. Violence is frequent and stylized: sword and magic clashes, explosions, and some blood, though it stays cartoonish rather than grisly, and there is no sexual content. It suits a weekend afternoon, a family movie night with older kids, or anyone who wants mythic spectacle with a modern, cheeky edge, especially viewers drawn to Chinese folklore and high-energy animated action.
