The story

Descend into the underworld of Japanese street racing. Set between 1990-2009, join the local street racing crews in their battle for territory control. Explore the real location open world, compete in wager races, battle other crews and upgrade your vehicles with detailed car customization.

What it’s like

Rain-slick asphalt under sodium streetlamps and the cold white glare of convenience-store signs, with night-time Japanese city blocks rendered as a dense, reflective open world. The sound is engine-heavy: revving turbos, tyre squeal on wet corners, the hum of dark highway, and a restless electronic soundtrack that pulses under the drive. The mood is gritty and nocturnal, a late-night loneliness softened by the thrill of speed and the glow of crews gathering in car parks. Pacing is looser than the title suggests; long cruises between wager races let you soak up the streets, and tuning sessions in the garage are slow, tactile and deliberate. Intensity is low on gore and graphic harm, but crashes and crew rivalries carry a sharp, competitive edge. Best for players who want a moody PC racing sim with a strong sense of place, a comfort-night drive, or a long session of car tinkering and territory-building with friends in co-op.
