The story

Stranded at a rest stop in the mountains during a blizzard, a recovering addict discovers a kidnapped child hidden in a car belonging to one of the people inside the building which sets her on a terrifying struggle to identify who among them is the kidnapper.

What it’s like

Cold, desaturated blues and sickly fluorescent whites fill a snowbound mountain rest stop, where whiteout wind and drifting snow press against the windows and make every interior feel sealed off. The camera stays close and watchful, drifting through tight corridors and parked-car darkness, so the mood is one of mounting unease rather than spectacle. The sound design leans on wind, muffled silence and sudden stillness, with a tense, pulsing score that tightens as the stakes rise. Its vibe is bleak, wintry suspense, a slow-burn thriller best watched late at night with the lights low. Violence and menace are present, including a kidnapped child and a threatening atmosphere, but the film relies on dread and paranoia more than gore. It suits viewers who want a tense, isolated mystery with a recovering protagonist fighting her own fragility, and who are comfortable with a dark, unsettling tone rather than something gentle.
