The story

Zequi and Lucy are about to get married. Although he promises not to overdo it during the bachelor party, things get out of control.

What it’s like

Bright, saturated studio comedy: flat, even daylight in Mexico City apartments and sun-baked beach-resort exteriors, wide establishing shots of crowded streets and lurid tropical colour, and a lot of plainly staged physical gags shot in medium two-shots so the reactions land cleanly. The camerawork is conventional and busy, with quick cuts, zooms into comic faces and a bouncy pop-and-cumbia soundtrack that never lets the energy drop. The mood is loud, goofy and affectionate, a nonstop party-gone-wrong rhythm where each escalation is followed by a snappy cut to the next mess. Intensity is low: slapstick mishaps, drunken chaos, crude jokes and some sexual innuendo, with no real gore and no lasting cruelty, though the cartoonish violence of brawls and falls is frequent. It suits a lazy Saturday, a group watch with snacks, or a light background laugh when you want something silly without thinking. It is for viewers who want broad, good-natured Mexican comedy with a big heart and no emotional weight, and who enjoy the chaos of a bachelor weekend spiralling out of control.
