The story
In the near future, a drone pilot is sent into a deadly militarized zone and must work with an android officer to locate a doomsday device.
What it’s like
Cold blue screen glow and grey, rain-streaked daylight give way to the harsh amber of a half-ruined Ukrainian-style town, all dust, concrete and flickering floodlights. The camera stays close and jittery in the field, with handheld tracking shots and quick cuts during firefights, while the drone-cockpit scenes sit in sterile, low-lit stillness. Sound design leans on rotor thrum, distant artillery, and a pulsing electronic score that swells and drops out abruptly. The vibe is bleak, technical tension with a streak of grimy, fluorescent-lit unease. It suits a late-night watch when you want momentum rather than rest. Violence is frequent and sharp: gunfire, explosions and bloody combat injuries land hard, though it stays mostly grounded rather than gory. The emotional register is hard-edged and stoic, following a reluctant partnership between a guarded soldier and a machine who slowly finds something like loyalty. For viewers who like military sci-fi with a human core and don't mind a steady stream of brutal action.
