The story

The Festive Seasoning dishes up a festive feast of holiday-themed extra content for Overcooked. Eight new co-op levels, new chefs, new recipes, a new vehicle and a new way to cook - the flamethrower! It's a sizzling serving of Christmassy co-op chaos!

What it’s like

Frantic, bright and warmly chaotic, with a festive palette of snow-dusted kitchens, tinsel-trimmed counters, cheerful reds and greens and chunky, cartoon-style characters bobbing across tiled floors. The sound is a bouncy, looping holiday-tinged score under a constant clatter of chopping, sizzling pans and kitchen timers, with the occasional comic sound effect when something goes wrong. Levels are small top-down arenas laid out like tiny stages, and the hands-on feel is quick and tactile: tapping, dashing and throwing ingredients between stations while the clock counts down. The vibe is cheerful stress, playful and low on seriousness, with no violence beyond slapstick kitchen mishaps and a flamethrower used for comic cooking rather than harm. Pacing is brisk and rounds are short, so sessions come in bursts, best suited to a noisy evening with friends on the sofa, a holiday get-together, or a lighthearted solo run when you want something busy but kind. Written for players who enjoy co-operative chaos, festive cheer and the satisfaction of a well-timed plate.
