The story

A talented artist tries to curb her phobia of being in public places, only to be convinced that a malevolent spirit is haunting her.

What it’s like

Claustrophobic apartment interiors dominate this Hindi psychological thriller, with tight framing that keeps the lead character boxed in by walls, doorframes and her own reflection, and a palette of cold blues, sickly greens and dim practical lamps that makes home feel as unsafe as the street. Its sound design leans on distorted ambient hum, sudden silences and small domestic noises pushed to unsettling volume, with a sparse, unsettling score rather than bombast. The pacing is deliberate and unhurried, building dread through stillness and slow reveals instead of jump scares, and the emotional register stays anxious and intimate, following a woman's fraying grip on her own sense of reality as she withdraws from the world. Intensity is moderate: some frightening imagery and creeping unease, one brief sharp shock, and a few tense bodily scenes, but no gore and little overt violence. It suits a late night alone with the lights off, or viewers drawn to slow-burn psychological horror and character-driven dread who want atmosphere over spectacle.
