The story

Shivangi lives in London with her husband Veer Singh. One day, he receives a gift from Rajasthan. From then, strange things happen with Veer and his condition deteriorates.

What it’s like

Dim, wood-panelled interiors and a sense of a house closing in set the tone of this Hindi-language supernatural horror, with the period setting giving its rooms an old, chilled stillness. Much of the look leans on low lamplight and deep shadow, where a corner or doorway can hold a figure just outside the frame, and the camera tends to linger on a face as its composure slips. The score swells with string stings and sudden silences, so the scares land through sound as much as image. The mood is anxious and creeping rather than relentless, building slowly as a husband's health and a marriage come under strain from an unsettling gift. Its intensity is moderate: fear, possession imagery and jump scares, with some frightening moments of distress, but gore is minimal and the dread comes mostly from atmosphere. It suits a late evening alone with the lights off, or a fan of Bollywood ghost stories who wants a slow-burn haunting with a heavy, domestic unease rather than nonstop action.
