The story
A popular magician seeks help from a psychiatrist to protect him from a witch that has haunted him since childhood.
What it’s like
Dim, shadowy interiors lit by stage spotlights and warm lamps give way to saturated, glossy colour in the dream sequences, and the camera drifts through rooms with a slightly theatrical, performed polish. Its vibe is glamorous unease: part romance, part stage illusion, with a sense that reality itself is being staged. It suits a late evening alone or a comfort-thriller night when you want chills without grit. The pacing alternates lingering, moody romantic scenes with sudden jolts of supernatural horror, and the score swells and drops out to heighten each scare. The emotional register is tense and melodramatic, centred on a performer who starts to doubt what he sees and on a woman drawn into his fear. Expect jump scares, some violent and gory deaths, and sensual romantic moments; the horror lands harder than it is gruesome. For people who want a stylish Bollywood supernatural thriller with romance and magic-show trickery.
