The story
A hot-shot fashion and wildlife photographer Vikram gets into a relationship with Nisha. She moves in with him in his palatial house outside of the city. The old world house, made decades ago is as beautiful as it is scary. It holds many secrets which Nisha is soon to unearth; of the life of the man who made it and of Vikram, who is dealing with the mysterious disappearance of his former girlfriend Roshni
What it’s like
Glossy, sultry Bollywood-thriller look: a secluded old house on the edge of the city, rooms lit warm and low at night, with sun-drenched daytime exteriors that make the grounds feel like a showpiece. Expect shadowy corridors, close two-shots of a couple who can't quite read each other, and a score that leans on pulsing tension rather than horror stings. The vibe is seductive unease, a slow-burning sense that something is being kept out of view, best suited to a late evening alone or a rainy weekend with the lights dimmed. Pacing is deliberate, with long gaps between revelations and romance and suspicion running side by side. The emotional register stays on jealousy, trust and a partner slowly realising the person beside them is hiding something, with a lonely, guarded man slowly drawn into the past he refuses to talk about. Sensuality is frank, with romantic and sexual scenes that are more than suggestive, and the thriller beats bring brief, sharp violence rather than sustained gore. Dread and suspicion carry most of the weight. It suits adults who want a moody, sensual mystery with a sharp edge, not anyone looking for something gentle.
