The story
A real estate agent traveling to a haunted mansion in Himachal Pradesh time-travels to 1936 to save a young woman from a rapist spirit who has kept her soul trapped in the house for decades.
What it’s like
Dim, lamp-lit interiors and cold, misty hill-country light give this Hindi horror its mood: a crumbling colonial-era mansion with shadowed corridors, rain-streaked windows, and candle-yellow rooms that feel damp and heavy. Its look leans on familiar Bollywood horror conventions, with bold colour in the songs, sudden jolts, and a soundtrack that swells on cue, so the fear comes more from atmosphere and startle than from anything visceral. The vibe is brooding and melodramatic, a cozy-creepy watch for a rainy evening rather than anything subtle. Pacing alternates between slow, uneasy wandering through the house and bursts of supernatural chase, and the emotional register is earnest, with a modern protagonist drawn into a past tragedy and a romance threaded through the dread. Intensity is moderate: a threatening male spirit, implied sexual menace and a woman's trapped suffering, handled with fear and suspense rather than graphic violence or gore. It suits viewers who enjoy old-fashioned ghost stories, Bollywood song breaks, and atmospheric scares, and who are fine with some melodrama and a few sharp shocks.
