The story
Pragmata is a sci-fi action-adventure game set in the near future. The story follows Hugh and his android companion Diana as they navigate a Lunar research station. Gameplay incorporates action elements alongside mechanics involving interaction with systems within the environment.
What it’s like
Cool blue lunar-base corridors lit by clinical white panels, with sharp flashes of orange hazard light and glowing holographic interface lines that pull the eye across the screen. Pragmata's art direction leans on sterile, futuristic architecture, polished metal and cold reflections, while the soundscape is built from mechanical hum, distant alarms and the synthetic chatter of machines, with the score swelling into driving electronic tension during combat. The mood is isolated and uneasy, with a current of wonder running beneath it, the kind of experience that suits a late evening alone with headphones or a long weekend session with the lights down. Pacing alternates between slow, methodical exploration and bursts of tense third-person shooting, and the game's emotional core is the developing trust between a wary human and the android at his side, a partnership that warms gradually against an unsettling setting. Violence is present through gunfights and robotic enemies, with some intensity in combat but no gratuitous gore described in its core framing. It is for players who enjoy story-driven science fiction, want puzzle-like interaction with environments, and like their action grounded in atmosphere and character.
