The story

Tells the story of two lovers, separated by destiny, who meet again one day. This encounter allows each to realize the truth about the lives they are living.

What it’s like

Rain-soaked Kolkata in a warm, saturated palette: wet streets reflecting yellow light, cramped rooms with lamps glowing against damp evenings, and the rhythm of umbrellas, tram bells and monsoon downpours. The camera stays close and patient on faces, letting the sidelong glances and small pauses carry the feeling. Music is sparing and melodic, and much of the mood comes from the sound of rain on tin roofs and busy city ambience. It moves at an unhurried pace and settles into a wistful, introspective register, quietly tender and slightly melancholic rather than heartbroken. A former couple, parted by circumstance, reconnect and gradually see how far their present lives have drifted from what they once wanted. The film contains no violence and little explicit content; its intensity is emotional, not physical. It suits a rainy weekend, a quiet evening with tea, or anyone who likes romance that is reflective, grown-up and bittersweet, with the emphasis on memory and regret rather than grand gestures.
