The story
In a world of monsters, adventurers and magic, some of the most gifted healers are subjugated to brute force. Keyaru gains the ability to rewind time and turns the tables on those who’ve exploited him in this dark fantasy tale of vengeance and fury.
What it’s like
Hand-drawn anime with lush, saturated fantasy backdrops: sunlit forests, stone towns, and the glow of magic in cool blues and violet. The colour often turns harsh in the grim scenes, and the rewind sequences give the look a stuttering, time-looped quality. The score leans on sweeping orchestral swells and tense percussion, with quieter moments that let the dread settle. Its mood is bleak and vengeful, with a cold, simmering anger that stays on screen for long stretches. The pacing is brisk, built around escalating cruelty and reversal, and its central figure's arc is one of a victim turning hard and calculating. It is explicit and often disturbing: sexual violence, including rape of both women and men, orgy scenes, fanservice nudity, and graphic gore appear regularly and are not softened. This is not gentle viewing. It suits late-night watchers who want dark revenge fantasy with a harsh edge, and it is aimed at adult viewers comfortable with sustained sexual violence and brutality.
