The story

There comes a point in everyone’s life when you have to make a decision about the direction you’re going to take. For newly-18 American fashion model Cora, that time is now. She’s moved to an Australian coastal town to be with her favourite aunt, after a 'fashion faux pas’ back home.

What it’s like

Sun-bleached coastal daylight, open beaches, and the salt-and-board world of an Australian surf town set against the polished, artificial sheen of the fashion industry, with a fish-out-of-water contrast between the two. The tone is a warm, coming-of-age family drama with a reflective pace, centred on a young model who arrives at her aunt's home to reset after a public setback and slowly weighs what she wants from her life. Its emotional register is gentle and personal rather than thriller-driven, and the story leans on family relationships and small domestic moments instead of spectacle. It suits a lazy weekend afternoon or a comfort watch when you want something low-key with a seaside feel. It is best for viewers who enjoy character-led drama about growing up, belonging, and choosing a direction, and who want a mild, undemanding evening without graphic content.
