The story

Seiya and the Knights of the Zodiac rise again to protect the reincarnation of the goddess Athena, but a dark prophecy hangs over them all.

What it’s like

Bright, glossy CGI with bold cel-style outlines and saturated gold-and-crimson armour that catches light like polished metal, set against sweeping Greek ruins, marble temples and stormy skies. The camera swoops and cuts fast through hand-to-hand combat, with punchy slow-motion beats on big hits and a rousing orchestral-rock score that swells into electronic pulses during the fights. The vibe is epic, earnest and high-energy, the feel of a comic-book sanctuary, with the warmth of a Saturday-morning favourite grown up for a streaming audience. Pacing is brisk and episodic, building toward dramatic reveals and reunions, with characters who lean on loyalty, friendship and self-sacrifice more than introspection. Violence is frequent and stylised: punches, blasts and wounds shown in bursts of bright energy, with some bloodless injury and moments of peril, but little gore and nothing sexual. It suits fans of shounen battle anime and mythic fantasy who want big spectacle and a clear sense of right and wrong.
