The story

DCP Shivansh has been tasked to catch Vir, the man behind police killings in the city. Both are eventually against the same enemy but divided by a fine line, the law.

What it’s like

Dark, rain-slicked streets under sodium and neon glare, with hard police-station interiors lit by flat fluorescent tubes, give this Hindi action thriller a grimy, high-contrast look. Its rhythm is brisk and escalating, built around cat-and-mouse confrontations, tense interrogations and sudden bursts of gunfire, with a percussive, pulsing score pushing each set-piece forward. The mood is hard-edged and cynical, a cop-versus-vigilante story about institutional rot in which righteousness and lawlessness keep blurring. Violence is frequent and up front, including shootings, staged killings and a serial-killer strand, shown plainly rather than lingered on for gore. Expect dread, anger and grim satisfaction rather than warmth; there is little humour and almost no quiet. It suits a weekend night with the lights low, or viewers who like crime films with a sharp anti-corruption edge and a muscular, physical style. Not a fit for anyone wanting something gentle or comforting.
