The story
A teacher takes all aspects of life, word and culture in the most negative light possible.
What it’s like
Bright cel colours snap against flat, stark backgrounds, and the picture keeps breaking its own rhythm with freeze-frames, sudden split panels, text slammed across the screen, and quick cutaways to absurd still tableaux. The hard, playful editing feels like flipping through a comic at speed, with a loud, jittery soundtrack and exaggerated voice performances that swing from whisper to shriek. Each episode runs in short, dense bursts of gags, so it suits a restless evening, a lively binge, or a comfort rewatch when you want something to keep you laughing rather than settle you down. Its tone is cheerfully bleak: despair, self-loathing and existential dread are the running joke, and its classroom characters are arranged in a loose, cheerfully doomed ensemble where most of the warmth comes from them failing together. Violence is cartoonish and mostly slapstick, with some crude humour and fan-service flirtation typical of its harem-comedy setting. Fans of irreverent parody, deadpan teachers, and chaotic school comedy will find it most rewarding.
