The story

High school sophomore Kusuo Saiki swore as a child that he would keep his psychic talents hidden, but his abilities still make his life difficult.

What it’s like

Bright, flat cel-animation with saturated school-day colours, clean linework and bold comic-panel inserts that snap between deadpan close-ups and exaggerated reactions. The look is cheerful and uncluttered, with sunlit classrooms, pastel hallways and a bouncy, jazzy-pop score that cuts out abruptly for pauses of silence when the joke lands. Each episode is short and fast, built on quick gags and rapid cuts, so it works as easy background while doing homework or as an after-dinner watch when you want to laugh without thinking. The tone is dry, affectionate and mildly absurd: a deadpan teen who wants nothing more than an uneventful life, surrounded by loud, earnest classmates whose antics he quietly endures. Its emotional arc is gently warm, a lonely perfectionist slowly learning that friends can be a relief rather than a burden. The intensity is very low: slapstick, cartoon mishaps and telepathic pranks, with no gore, no sexual content and no real menace. For people who want a light, witty comedy that rewards a little attention and never asks for much.
