The story
A virus has decimated humankind. Those who survived emerged blind. Centuries later when twins are born with the mythic ability to see, their father must protect his tribe against a threatened queen.
What it’s like
Wide, sun-scorched landscapes and dim, smoke-filled interiors give See a weathered, earthy look, with fortress walls of rough stone, torchlit halls, and forests dense with green where the camera lingers on textures of leather, mud, and worn wood. Its sound is largely organic: wind through trees, clattering footsteps, and the thud of blades, with the score swelling in heroic brass only at big set pieces. Much of the world is built around touch, sound, and scent rather than sight, so the frame often holds still while characters listen, and the editing lets tension stretch across quiet beats. The vibe is grim but grand, somewhere between sword-and-sandal spectacle and a fractured, feudal drama, best suited to a weekend binge or a long evening when you want epic scale. The violence is frequent and bloody, with sword fights, battlefield combat, and graphic injuries shown on screen, and there are scenes of cruelty and sexual content. The emotional register is heavy, built around a father's fierce protectiveness and a power struggle over a queen's rule. It suits viewers who enjoy big-budget fantasy battles, political intrigue, and characters who must navigate a world without sight.
