The story
Two overworked and underpaid assistants come up with a plan to get their bosses off their backs by setting them up with each other.
What it’s like
Bright, bustling New York in daylight: sunlit office floors, glassy high-rise interiors, street-level bustle and cheerful apartment rooms with warm lamplight at night. The palette is clean and saturated without being garish, the camerawork is polished and conventional, with plenty of medium two-shots and quick cuts during the comic set pieces, and the score is peppy pop and upbeat guitar that signals fun from the first frame. Its vibe is breezy, witty and warm, a light crowd-pleaser for a Friday night, a casual group watch or a cheerful flight. Pacing is brisk, the jokes land often, and the emotional arc follows two overworked, underappreciated people who slowly discover the real value of each other while the romance plays out with genuine sweetness. Intensity is very low: some profanity and sexual innuendo, mild awkwardness, no violence, no gore, no real fear. It's a gentle, feel-good romcom for people who want laughter, easy chemistry and a happy ending without anything heavy.
