The story

Set in a world where superheroes are commonly known and accepted, young Will Stronghold, the son of the Commander and Jetstream, tries to find a balance between being a normal teenager and an extraordinary being.

What it’s like

Bright, saturated primary colors and cartoonish, high-contrast daylight give this live-action family comedy the glossy, brightly lit look of a Saturday-morning cartoon brought to life. Its world is sunny suburban campus architecture, sleek city skylines, and flashy superhero costumes, with bursts of slapstick energy and quick cuts that keep the picture busy. The score leans on upbeat, bouncy orchestral and pop-rock cues, and the sound design is full of whooshing flight effects and comic sound stings. The vibe is playful, bouncy and warm, the kind of easy watch for a lazy weekend afternoon, a family movie night, or something light on a long-haul flight. Pacing is brisk and the tone stays upbeat, with frequent sight gags and teen-movie banter. The emotional arc follows a gangly teenager learning to accept himself, and his friendships and family ties, as he navigates the gap between ordinary school life and his parents' heroic legacy. The violence is cartoonish and mild, with superpowered brawls and pratfalls that never linger on harm. It suits families, younger teens, and anyone wanting a gentle, goofy superhero comedy.
