The story

Katie, a college freshman, has been groomed from birth to continue her mother’s legacy with the Deltas. When Katie decides to pledge another house instead, an all-out sorority war commences.

What it’s like

Bright, glossy television-movie look: even daylight across sunny campus lawns, pastel dorm rooms, and polished sorority houses with tidy, well-lit interiors. Framing stays conventional and clean, with plenty of medium two-shots and bustling group compositions that let the rivalry play out in full view. The sound is upbeat pop-leaning music and sitcom-style comic timing, with the scoring warm and bouncy rather than moody. The vibe is breezy and lighthearted, a bit melodramatic, with the stakes of college social life inflated for fun. Pacing is quick and episodic, the emotional register stays light with some family tension underneath, and the central arc follows a young woman stepping out from under her mother's expectations and finding her own footing among friends. Its intensity is low: some catty backstabbing and social pettiness, with no real violence, gore, or sexual content, and only mild peril. It suits a lazy afternoon, a comfort watch, or background viewing, and it is for people who want an easygoing, sudsy college comedy about loyalty and belonging.
