The story
A spy, an assassin and a telepath come together to pose as a family, each for their own reasons, while hiding their true identities from each other.
What it’s like
Bright, clean animation with flat pastel palettes, crisp outlines and bouncy, expressive character acting that makes every cramped apartment, school gate and suburban park feel warm and sunlit. Its comic rhythm is quick and punchy in short episodes, with sudden deadpan cuts and big reaction faces, then softens into tender domestic scenes of breakfast tables, bedtime and a small girl's wide-eyed sincerity. The score leans on jaunty brass and playful strings during the spy gags and gentle piano for quieter beats. Its vibe is cheerful and lightly absurd, with a warm, low-stakes comfort underneath the scheming. Fight scenes are stylised and bloodless, with brief, cartoonish punches and gunfire and no gore. Sexual content is absent and the tone stays wholesome, though some scenes carry mild peril and tension. Good for a light weeknight watch, a comfort rewatch, or anyone who wants a funny, affectionate story about strangers learning to love each other, with action that stays playful.
