The story

New school. New family. New superpower. It's a season of change for 12-year-old Ben Vasani when he discovers that he can transform into anyone he meets. As a shapeshifter, Ben must figure out who he is and who he wants to be.

What it’s like

Bright, friendly family-sci-fi with a gentle, all-ages sensibility, suited to an easy weekend afternoon or a low-key family viewing. Its world is ordinary, a new school, a new home, and everyday rooms, so the fantasy arrives as a small, playful surprise rather than spectacle, and the pacing stays unhurried and light. The emotional register is warm and earnest, with a sense of nervousness about fitting in and a steady undercurrent of hopefulness. Ben's arc is about working out who he is when he can become anyone, moving from confusion toward a more settled sense of self, with family ties and friendships doing much of the emotional work. The intensity is low: mild peril and some tension around secrecy, but no graphic violence, no gore, and nothing sexual. It fits viewers who want something gentle and reassuring, and it suits families with pre-teens, or adults who enjoy coming-of-age stories with a light genre twist.
