The story

When five ordinary South Londoners discover they have extraordinary powers, it's down to just one man to bring them together to save the woman he loves.

What it’s like

Gritty night-time South London, shot in a hard, grounded style: wet tarmac under sodium streetlamps, the cold blue of tower-block stairwells, handheld camera that stays close to faces and lets the chaos sit at the edges of the frame. Colour is saturated where the powers flare, with bursts of electric light and bruised purples against otherwise drab greys and concrete. The soundtrack leans on hip-hop and grime, bass-heavy and loud, cut against quieter moments of rain on windows and clipped dialogue in cramped flats. Vibe: street-level, restless, kinetic, with a sense of everyday life pressing up against the fantastical. It suits a late-night binge, a long commute on headphones, or anyone who likes superhero stories told through a specific, lived-in London. Pacing is brisk and episodic, with each chapter following a different character as their ordinary lives tangle with new abilities, and the emotional arcs centre on loyalty, grief and a man willing to risk everything for someone he loves. Intensity is high: frequent, sudden violence with real physical impact, some blood, shootings and menacing crime, plus strong language and some sexual content. It is not gentle. Built for viewers who want gritty, character-driven superhero drama rooted in Black British street culture and fans of raw, high-energy genre TV.
