The story
The series follows the hilarious everyday routines of four girls in the Kameido High tennis club who, on occasion, actually play some tennis.
What it’s like
Bright, flat anime colour on a suburban Tokyo school: sunlit courts, pale blue skies, crisp cel shading and clean, simple linework that favours expressive faces over detailed backgrounds. The camera stays static and centred on mostly everyday exchanges, with frequent cuts to exaggerated reaction faces and deadpan pauses that land harder than any punchline. Sound leans on bouncy, playful music and bright voice performances, with the occasional sudden burst of tennis rallies that sound lively but are rarely the point. The vibe is light, breezy absurdism, the kind of goofy warmth that suits a lazy weekend afternoon, background viewing while doing chores, or a comfort rewatch when you want to smile without thinking too hard. Episodes are short and quick, moving through small gags, club routines and friendships with a rhythm that rarely lingers on drama. Intensity is minimal: no violence, no gore, nothing frightening, and only mild, cartoonish teasing and slapstick. It is made for viewers who enjoy gentle absurd humour, fans of school-club slice of life, and anyone who wants something cheerful and undemanding.
