The story
A group of top female agents from American, British, Chinese, Colombian, and German government agencies are drawn together to try and stop an organization from acquiring a deadly weapon to send the world into chaos.
What it’s like
Glossy, globe-trotting studio polish: sleek hotel lobbies, rain-slicked European streets at night, cool blue-grey interiors lit by monitor glow and tactical LEDs, and a steady stream of handheld-tinged action that stays legible rather than frantic. Set-piece fights are staged in wide, clearly edited master shots with punchy, percussive cuts and a driving synth-and-orchestral score that keeps the pulse up without much breathing room. Pacing is brisk and mostly relentless, with quieter beats of banter and tentative trust between the women slipped in between sequences. The tone is confident, slick and lightly playful, a crowd-pleasing spy caper rather than a grim one. Violence is frequent and mostly bloodless, with shootouts, hand-to-hand combat and vehicle chases, some sharp injuries and a few tense hostage moments, but no gore and little sexual content. It suits a Friday evening, a comfortable popcorn watch, or a flight where you want momentum without dread. It is for viewers who enjoy ensemble action, capable women leading the frame, and polished international thrillers with a sense of fun.
