The story
Xu Miyu’s perfect marriage shatters on her 10th anniversary, prompting her to rediscover herself and choose divorce. Starting over as a hotel cleaner at Purong Hotel, she crosses paths with Ji Feng, the hotel’s new GM and her former acquaintance. As they face workplace challenges together, love blossoms, and they transform Purong Hotel into a rising city landmark.
What it’s like
Urban and grounded, with the warm-but-tense mood of a city drama that moves between a domestic life and a working one. The story turns on a marriage ending and a woman starting again, so the mood shifts between quiet, rain-soaked-feeling interiors at home and the busier, more public energy of a hotel's back corridors and front desk. The rhythm suits an episodic watch: each episode carries a workplace problem that tests the characters, while the emotional thread builds slowly between two people who already have history. The intensity is low. Conflict comes from family pressure, professional rivalry, and old loyalties rather than violence or gore, and the romance is patient and gradual, with few explicit moments. It suits viewers who want a second-chance romance with a realistic career and family backdrop, and who like a heroine who rebuilds her life step by step. Good for evening viewing across several nights, and for anyone who enjoys character-driven drama in a modern city setting more than fast plot twists.
