The story

A gripping and chilling thriller that brings us to a hazy mountain village where an enigmatic detective is investigating the sudden disappearance of fifteen-year-old girl.

What it’s like

Muted, fog-bound light fills this mystery: pale grey daylight that never quite clears, wet slate roofs, dark wood interiors, and sodden forest edges washed in cold greens and greys. The sound is sparse, with long stretches of wind, dripping eaves, and footsteps on gravel, and a low, unsettling score that surfaces only at key moments. The pacing is deliberate and quietly tense, more interested in atmosphere and unanswered questions than in action, with the unease tightening as the search deepens. The register is cold, uneasy, and melancholy, best suited to a grey afternoon or a late night with the lights low. Intensity is moderate: a missing teenager and a shadowy past drive the dread, with brief, mostly unseen violence and no gore. Its characters are guarded and damaged, slowly and reluctantly revealing themselves. It suits viewers who want a slow-burn crime story where mood carries as much weight as the mystery.
