The story

Thieves attempt a massive heist against the U.S. Treasury as a Category 5 hurricane approaches one of its Mint facilities.

What it’s like

Roaring wind, rain sheeting sideways past floodlit concrete, and the grey-green murk of a storm-lashed Gulf coast set the look of this action thriller, which leans on digital spectacle more than texture: glossy CGI water, saturated blues and teal-tinted night, and wide establishing shots of churning sea and ruined streets that give way to tight, jittery handheld framing once the crew is inside the vault. The score is bombastic orchestral pulse with synth-heavy stingers, and the storm's howl is constantly in the mix, so the soundscape never settles. Pacing is brisk and relentless, cutting between the thieves, the government team and a weather-tracking meteorologist, with the emotional register swinging between swaggering fun and urgent peril. The arcs follow scheming brothers and a reluctant crew bound by money and loyalty, with the storm forcing their plans into chaos. Violence is moderate and action-driven: gunfights, fistfights, and a few tense fall and drowning moments, with no graphic gore and no sexual content. It suits a loud Friday night, a multiplex-style escape, or a flight where you want momentum over subtlety, and it is for viewers who enjoy disaster-movie spectacle wrapped around a caper.
