The story

A father is without the means to pay for his daughter's medical treatment. As a last resort, he partners with a greedy co-worker to rob a casino. When things go awry they're forced to hijack a city bus.

What it’s like

Tense, pressure-cooker crime-thriller energy, with the mood tightening as one desperate night spirals out of control. The settings run from a casino floor to the cramped interior of a city bus, and the sequences built around hostages, armed standoffs and sudden shootouts give it a jittery, high-stakes momentum. Its emotional core is a father's frantic, morally compromised scramble to raise money for his daughter's treatment, so the tone is grim and urgent rather than cozy, with the sense that every decision costs more than the last. Violence is a real presence, including gunfire and a hostage situation, and it arrives suddenly rather than as gore-focused spectacle. It suits a late-night watch for viewers who want a fast, pulpy heist story with stakes that feel personal, and it is a poor fit for anyone seeking something gentle, slow, or low-tension.
