The story

Mowgli has been living in the man-village with his little stepbrother Ranjan and his best friend Shanti. But the man-cub still has that jungle rhythm in his heart, and he misses his old buddies Baloo and Bagheera. When Mowgli wanders back to the wild for some swingin' fun, he soon finds the man-eating tiger Shere Khan is lurking in the shadows and planning his revenge.

What it’s like

Hand-drawn 2D animation in warm, saturated jungle greens, ochres and sunset oranges, with soft painted backgrounds that make the forest feel lush and close, and the village rendered in dusty earth tones and bright market colour. The camera stays fairly conventional and bright, favouring broad, readable compositions over moody shadow, and the score leans into jaunty, percussive musical numbers with a rhythmic, playful bounce. It is a sun-warmed, easygoing watch with a light, bouncy pace: a Saturday-morning comfort pick, good for kids or for adults wanting something cheerful while cooking or tidying. The emotional register stays bright and low-stakes, built around a boy torn between two families and a found-family bond that gets reaffirmed by the end. Its peril is cartoon-scale, with a menacing tiger, some chase sequences and sharp moments of threat, but no gore and little real cruelty. Suited to families, young viewers and anyone craving gentle, good-natured adventure with a musical streak.
