The story

Erkan Aldur, a young man from a wealthy Istanbul family, is stationed in eastern Turkey to complete his mandatory military service in a remote, earthquake-stricken region. In this harsh and unfamiliar landscape, he meets Dicle, a young woman who has lived her entire life in the village and whose world is shaped by tradition, family, and community. Their encounter brings together two very different worlds, setting in motion a journey of change, resilience, and unexpected connection. As Dicle steps into the unfamiliar and Erkan faces new responsibilities, their story unfolds into a heartfelt and transformative tale of love and courage, that bridges even the widest divides

What it’s like

Stark, sun-scoured landscapes of the eastern Turkish highlands, with the rubble and strain of an earthquake region shaping every frame, set against the close, communal textures of village life. The mood is earnest and emotionally direct, a soap-style drama that gives its stories room to unfold in the everyday: shared meals, family expectations, and the slow negotiation between tradition and change. Its central arc follows two people from very different worlds, a city-raised young man facing unfamiliar responsibilities and a woman whose life has been rooted in one place, as each begins to see the other clearly. Expect a melodramatic register with sincere sentiment, a steady rather than frantic pace, and a tone that leans on emotional drama and gradual trust rather than action or spectacle. It suits viewers who enjoy long-form romance with a strong sense of place, and who want a story about resilience, class, and cultural difference told through interpersonal bonds.
