The story
Kate and Matt discover that a part of their house can grant wishes. In the wake of two miscarriages, what they want most is a child.
What it’s like
Cool, controlled domestic interiors and a slow-building, uneasy hush, with the house itself feeling like the main character. The mood sits between grief and unease: a late-night, lights-low watch when you want a thoughtful, creeping mystery rather than jump scares. The story follows a couple, Kate and Matt, after two miscarriages, as a hidden space in their home begins granting wishes, and their longing for a child slowly bends toward something darker. The pace is deliberate, with long stretches of quiet tension and emotional strain between the couple, and the arc is about desire curdling into guilt and moral compromise. Intensity is moderate: the grief and fertility loss are handled with weight, the dread is persistent and psychological, and there is violence, including a disturbing death, that lands hard but in brief bursts rather than gore-heavy sequences. Not gentle, and not for anyone needing a soft or hopeful watch. It suits viewers who like science-fiction horror that uses its premise to probe family, loss and what people will do for the child they want.
