The story

The Sly Collection is a remastered compilation of the first three Sly Cooper games, developed by Sanzaru Games and published by Sony Computer Entertainment. Released in 2010 for PlayStation 3 and later for PlayStation Vita, it includes Sly Cooper and the Thievius Raccoonus, Sly 2: Band of Thieves, and Sly 3: Honor Among Thieves, all with enhanced HD graphics, Trophy support, and stereoscopic 3D compatibility on PS3. The collection preserves the original gameplay while offering visual and performance improvements.

What it’s like

Bright, saturated cel-shaded cityscapes glow under moonlit rooftops, with tiled roofs, sunlit village squares, and marsh and bayou backdrops rendered in clean comic-book outlines and speech-bubble flourishes. The HD polish sharpens the inked edges and lets the colors pop without losing the storybook softness. Sound leans on a bouncy, jazzy orchestral score of plucked strings, brass stabs, and swinging pizzicato that shifts into tense staccato whenever a guard's flashlight sweeps across a rooftop. The vibe is playful, nimble, and nostalgic: a comfortable, slightly mischievous adventure for a lazy weekend or an evening with a controller in hand. Pacing alternates brisk platforming hops and rooftop chases with patient, sneaky stealth sections where timing and patience matter more than speed. Its emotional register is light and warm, following a young raccoon thief and his gang of friends as they chase a legacy, test their loyalty, and grow up a little along the way. Violence is cartoonish and bloodless, with comic peril and a few menacing animal villains, and the tone stays gentle throughout. It suits players who want a witty, low-stress caper with heart, and fans of classic platformers who enjoy stealth and a bit of heist-style cleverness.
