The story
A group of teen girls from different backgrounds must fight for survival after a plane crash strands them on a deserted island. The castaways both clash and bond as they learn more about each other, the secrets they keep, and the traumas they've all endured. But there’s just one twist… these girls did not end up on this island by accident.
What it’s like
Sun-bleached and saturated, with wide, hazy shots of a tropical shoreline, dense green jungle and turquoise water that give way to tighter, more intimate framing in the camp scenes. The palette runs warm and humid, with bright daylight that often feels overexposed, and the flashback sequences shift into cooler, more hushed tones that set the grief and secrets of each girl apart from the island's heat. The score leans on synth pulses and low electronic drones that build unease, broken by pop-leaning needle drops that make the teen world feel loud and immediate. Vibe: restless, sun-scorched tension with an undercurrent of mystery, best suited to a binge across several evenings or a late-night watch when you want momentum over calm. The pacing is brisk, with cliffhangers at most episode ends, and the emotional register swings between sharp adolescent friction and tender, slowly earned bonds, following a group of girls who move from rivalry toward trust while confronting their own pasts. Intensity is moderate: some peril, a plane crash and injuries, brief violence, and frank talk of abuse, self-harm and sexuality; not gore-driven, but the threat is persistent. For viewers who want a character-led survival story with a teen cast, queer representation and a slow-revealing mystery.
