The story

VTOL VR is a near-futuristic combat flight game built specifically for Virtual Reality. Pilot advanced multi-role jets, using your hands to flip switches, press buttons, and manipulate the virtual flight controls. Take on a wide array of challenges that will put your flight skills, situational awareness, and combat tactics to the test.

What it’s like

Cockpit-first and hands-on: a dim glass-and-metal interior lit by the cool green-white glow of radar screens and warning lamps, with the sky opening into hard blue daylight and pale desert or island terrain far below. The look is clean and functional rather than cinematic, with crisp instrument text, chunky switch geometry, and the slight shimmer of VR depth as you lean forward to read a display. Sound is a layered bed of engine roar, cockpit clicks, radio chatter and the tonal chirp of missile lock, with the stillness of long cruising stretches broken by sudden alarms. The vibe is focused, tactile calm that tightens into sharp tension during engagements, and it suits a quiet evening with headphones, a flight-sim session after work, or a stretch of practice when you want to learn a machine piece by piece. Pacing is self-set: long transits, careful checklists, then short bursts of dogfighting or ground attack, with no story arc beyond mastering the aircraft and improving under pressure. Violence is abstract and mechanical, seen through targeting reticles and distant explosions, with no gore and no sexual content. It is for players who want deep, procedural flying and the satisfaction of doing everything with their own hands, alone or with friends in co-op.
