The story
Based on the true story of two young men, David Packouz and Efraim Diveroli, who won a $300 million contract from the Pentagon to arm America's allies in Afghanistan.
What it’s like
Bright, glossy Miami sunlight and sleek interiors give way to dim, sweaty stash houses and washed-out desert compounds, with a restless handheld energy that keeps the camera close to its hustlers. The look is polished digital, saturated with cool blues and bronze, and the sound leans on pop and rock needle drops that snap between scenes and carry the giddy highs. Its rhythm is fast and talky, with voiceover asides that break the fourth wall and a rise-and-fall shape that tilts from exuberant to anxious. The vibe is brash, cynical comedy with a glint of dread, best for a Friday night with friends or a loud comedy craving. Violence is brief and mostly offscreen or sudden, with some drug use, profanity, and sexual references, and a war backdrop that lands as darkly absurd rather than harrowing. It suits viewers who enjoy sharp, morally slippery company and a crime story that plays like a cautionary joke.
